Hi, I’m Hao Wu.
I’m a software engineer based in the Bay Area, currently a Staff Engineer at Meta on WhatsApp Ads. I joined as an early engineer on the team, built out the ads buying service, and now serve as Tech Lead for everything advertiser-facing, leading a squad of 5+ engineers. Before that, I owned the full stack of Promotional Ads and worked broadly across Ads Manager and the Marketing API.
Before Meta, I did my undergrad at SJTU-UMJI in Shanghai and my master’s at Carnegie Mellon University.
